I wanted to share prayer requests for families on our mission team. This passed weekend one of our team member's brother-in-law drowned. He was only 25 years old and knew how to swim, so they don't know exactly what happened (i.e. heart attack). His wife (our team members sister)is pregnant with their first child, due in Nov. I can't imagine the pain they are experiencing. Our team member flew out Saturday to be with her sister.
The team leaders for our trip also suffered a tragedy this weekend. One of their granddaughter's lives in Malawi where we will be serving and another granddaughter lives in San Francisco. The granddaughter in SF is married and this past Saturday her husband, Michael, was diving in a lake and was paralyzed from the chest down. We had a team meeting yesterday and several people brought up these tragedies as attacks by the Enemy on our team members. Please pray that the Lord will protect our families and that nobody will be kept from ministering to those in need in Malawi. Thank you for your prayers!
